Jeffrey Jackel, D.M.D, M.D.
Dr. Jackel grew up in New York City and later New Jersey. After graduation from Rutgers University, he received a D.M.D. degree from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He also graduated from Hahnemann Medical College with an M.D. degree. He served residencies at Framingham Union, Boston University, and St. Elizabeth's Hospitals; his post-graduate education was completed at Massachusetts General Hospital and University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine and Dental Anesthesiology.
He served as the Chief of Anesthesiology at Milton Hospital and has been practicing Pain Medicine since 1985. In 2002 he became the Director of Pain Medicine at Carney Hospital where he practiced in the only dedicated, comprehensive Department of Pain Medicine in Massachusetts until 2016. His interest in sailing has led him to obtain a U. S. Coast Guard license as a Merchant Marine Officer.
Christopher Wenger, M.D.
Dr. Wenger grew up in Duxbury, MA. After graduation from the College of the Holy Cross, he received his M.D. degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his Anesthesia training at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA, and his Pain Fellowship at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, TX, studying under Drs. Gabor Racz and P. Prithvi Raj. He is board certified in Anesthesia and Pain Management, and is a certified Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice.
He has served as the Medical Director of the Pain Management Centers at St. Johns Hospital in Lowell, Boston Outpatient Surgical Center in Waltham, Quincy Medical Center in Quincy, and the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. He is the Director of New England Pain Management Consultants, a position he has held since 1997. Dr. Wenger is an avid hiker, and lives with his wife and four children on the South Shore.
